Position Summary

The Licensed Vocational Nursing (LVN) program at Allan Hancock College is seeking applications to develop a qualified pool of part-time faculty for in-person or online instructional vacancies. The assignment may include classes at the Santa Maria campus, Lompoc Valley Center, or online, as needed. Positions may be available during the Fall and Spring semesters, or summer session.

The teaching assignment will include one or more courses offered in the program, such as;

Theory: Spring - Fundamentals of Nursing, Medication Administration, Endocrine, and Respiratory Conditions Summer - Care of Older Adults, GI/GU, and Skin/Musculoskeletal Conditions Fall - Pediatrics, Neurosensory and Cardiac Conditions, and Maternal and Infant Health Clinical Spring - Clinical 1 Summer - Clinical 2 Fall - Clinical 3 Essential Functions and Qualifications

• Provide instruction in accordance with established and Board of Vocational and Psychiatric Technician (BVNPT) approved curriculum and course outlines.

• Maintain appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics.

• Maintain current knowledge in the subject matter areas.

• Fulfill professional responsibilities of a part-time/temporary faculty member.

• Teach all scheduled classes.

• Maintain accurate records.

• Assignments may include day, evening, or weekend classes.

Minimum Qualifications
