The Chemistry department at Allan Hancock College is inviting applications to establish a qualified pool of adjunct faculty for potential instructional roles, either in-person or online. Teaching assignments may occur at various locations or through online platforms, as necessary. Opportunities may arise for both Fall and Spring semesters, as well as summer sessions.

The teaching responsibilities will encompass one or more courses within the Chemistry curriculum, including but not limited to Chemistry and Society (online), Introductory Chemistry, General Chemistry, or other relevant courses as required.

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications

- Deliver instruction in alignment with established curriculum and course guidelines.
- Uphold high standards of professional conduct and ethics.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge in relevant subject areas.
- Fulfill the professional obligations of a part-time faculty member.
- Conduct all scheduled classes.
- Keep accurate records of student performance.
- Teaching assignments may include day, evening, or weekend classes.

Minimum Qualifications

- A Master's degree in Chemistry
OR
- A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry combined with a Master's degree in Biochemistry or Chemical Engineering, or the equivalent.

Compensation:
Lecture Rate: $57.72 to $77.18 per hour based on education and experience.
Lab Rate: $50.28 to $67.20 per hour based on education and experience.
Activity Rate: $37.13 to $50.62 per hour based on education and experience.
