Position Overview
The Photography program at Allan Hancock College is looking to establish a pool of qualified part-time faculty for potential openings. Opportunities may arise based on departmental needs during the academic semesters.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver instruction aligned with the established curriculum and course outlines.
- Uphold professional conduct and ethical standards.
- Stay updated with current developments in the subject matter.
- Fulfill the professional duties expected of a part-time faculty member.
- Conduct all assigned classes as scheduled.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records.
- Teaching assignments may include day, evening, weekend, online, and/or off-campus classes.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and two years of relevant experience.
- Associate's degree along with six years of industry experience.
- A combination of education and experience equivalent to the above requirements. Candidates applying based on equivalency must submit an Application for Equivalency along with all other required materials.
Prior teaching experience is preferred.
Application Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must submit the following materials:
- A current and detailed resume outlining educational and professional experience.
- Transcripts (copies are acceptable for the application process; official transcripts will be required upon hiring).
Compensation Rates:
- Lecture Rate: $57.72 to $77.18 per hour based on education and experience.
- Lab Rate: $50.28 to $67.20 per hour based on education and experience.
- Activity Rate: $37.13 to $50.62 per hour based on education and experience.
