We are partnering with a boutique Investment Bank that is actively seeking a talented and motivated individual to join their Debt Advisory Investment Banking team as an Analyst/Associate. As a key player in providing top-notch financial solutions, strategic guidance, and innovative transactional expertise, this company is committed to delivering exceptional value to their clients.

At the forefront of intricate debt transactions, you would be working as an Analyst in their Debt Advisory division, playing a crucial role in structuring and executing deals that influence the financial landscape.

Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside senior team members to develop and maintain comprehensive financial models for assessing debt financing alternatives, analyzing capital structures, and evaluating potential scenarios.
  • Perform detailed financial analysis, including assessments of debt capacity, cash flow projections, and credit metrics to underpin transaction recommendations.
  • Aid in the creation of pitch materials, presentations, and other necessary documentation for client interactions and projects.
  • Assist in the implementation of debt transactions such as bond issuances, syndicated loans, refinancing, and restructuring by managing due diligence activities and facilitating communication with stakeholders.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, regulatory modifications, and competitive dynamics within the debt capital markets.
  • Produce market intelligence reports and contribute to formulating strategic suggestions for clients.
  • Engage in client meetings, conference calls, and presentations to effectively convey analytical findings and participate in discussions regarding financing strategies and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with senior team members to foster and maintain solid client relationships through exceptional service and innovative solutions.
  • Support various ad-hoc projects related to debt advisory services, industry research, and business development endeavors.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. An advanced degree like an MBA is considered advantageous.
  • Bring 2-3 years of relevant experience in investment banking, debt capital markets, or similar financial positions.
  • Demonstrate strong quantitative and analytical abilities along with a profound understanding of financial modeling, debt instruments, and capital structures.
  • Possess proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial data analysis tools.
  • Show exceptional attention to detail, effective time management, and strong organizational skills.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills with the capability to clearly and succinctly articulate complex ideas.
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic, self-motivation, and the capacity to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Preference for Series 79 and 63 licenses (or willingness to acquire them).
  • Benefit from knowledge of debt advisory, credit markets, and regulatory frameworks as a valuable asset.
