Financial Advisory Analyst

Location: New York City

Position Overview

As a Financial Advisory Analyst within the Investment Banking division, you will acquire valuable experience in mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, and financial consultancy. You will have the opportunity to engage with a diverse range of financial products and interact with clients from the outset. As you enhance your transaction execution capabilities, you will be entrusted with increased responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engaging actively in restructuring projects, which demand quick and precise responses in a high-pressure setting.
  • Conducting comprehensive valuations, including comparable analysis, discounted cash flow (DCF), and sum of parts.
  • Delivering high-quality qualitative and quantitative financial modeling.
  • Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all materials prepared.
  • Participating in client meetings with a proactive approach.
  • Creating pitch books to support ongoing business development initiatives.
  • Performing thorough research on business sectors, industries, and capital markets.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in investment banking at a financial analyst level is REQUIRED (2 years preferred).
  • Knowledge or experience in distress/restructuring or mergers and acquisitions.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Accounting with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5.
  • Proven quantitative, analytical, and modeling capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with capital markets and investment banking products.
  • Proficiency in financial and computer applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Bloomberg).
  • Experience with credit analysis is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and client engagement.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic and meticulous attention to detail.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
The salary range is competitive and is influenced by various factors, including education, experience, skills, and geographic considerations. Additionally, a discretionary bonus program is available, based on individual and firm performance. Regular employees working 30 or more hours per week are entitled to participate in a comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare plans, flexible spending accounts, life and disability coverage, and a 401(k) retirement plan. Eligible employees will also receive a discretionary contribution to their 401(k). Furthermore, employees are entitled to paid time off, including vacation, personal days, sick leave, federal holidays, and parental leave. The specifics of vacation and personal days vary based on tenure and role type.
