Investment Banking Division

Our Investment Banking division is dedicated to providing unbiased advice on mergers and acquisitions (M&A), debt advisory, financial restructuring, and capital markets transactions. Over the past four years, we have successfully advised on more than 650 transactions, totaling approximately €88.5 billion. Our senior bankers and execution teams leverage a comprehensive understanding of various industry sectors, coupled with strong local relationships with companies, investors, entrepreneurs, and financial institutions.

Role Overview

We are currently seeking an Investment Banking Analyst to support our M&A and capital raising advisory services in the Consumer and Industrials sectors. This position is based in our offices and requires a candidate with a minimum of 12 months of relevant experience, who can make an immediate and significant contribution to our team while actively participating in Alantra's training and onboarding programs. Analysts will work closely with our U.S. Managing Directors, and high performers will have opportunities for rotation through other U.S. and international offices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive industry research and perform detailed company analyses.
  • Develop intricate financial analyses and models.
  • Assist in the preparation of client proposals and presentations.
  • Manage data rooms and coordinate the due diligence process.
  • Recruit, supervise, and mentor interns.
  • Execute additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in investment banking, transaction advisory, corporate development, or a related field.
  • A bachelor's degree with a strong academic record; majors in business, economics, or finance/accounting are preferred.
  • Essential knowledge of M&A and capital raising practices.
  • Solid understanding of finance and accounting principles; ability to analyze and value businesses.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical, creative, and strategic thinking abilities.
  • A team player with the capability to work independently.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • FINRA Series 79 and 63 licenses are required or must be obtained within the first six months of employment.
