The hours may change due to operational needs. This position is emergency essential. Depending on the type of emergency the employee may be required to report to work during emergency situations.

The individual selected for this position will:
Supervisory and Managerial Authorities
Performs administrative and technical supervisory functions for subordinates.
Manages the organizational unit's budget and workload.
Develops performance requirements for subordinates and ensures a mutual understanding of the performance standards
Resolves complaints and grievances as delegated by higher level supervisors
Provides leadership to ensure support for equal employment opportunity (EEO) goals and requirements.

Practices non-discriminatory employment actions to prevent unlawful discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, genetic information, age or disability.

Provides employee skills enrichment through job related coaching/mentoring and training to ensure that all direct reports know how to use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Electrical Work

Accomplishes installation and testing, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair work on the electrical mechanisms of controls, systems, and circuits, such as air conditioning components, lighting, invasion recognition systems, electrical admission controller devices, kitchen appliances, fire recognition and panic systems, batteries and other supplies that generate power in the Senate Office Buildings.

Performs other related duties as assigned
