Role Overview:
The Retail Sales Supervisor plays a crucial role in executing brand standards and enhancing the teammate experience. Under the mentorship of the Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager, the Supervisor becomes the in-store authority for their designated department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the recruitment and development of a strong team by participating in in-store interviews and department orientations.
- Cultivate a people-first culture by engaging with every teammate, fostering mutual trust and respect, and contributing to a strong recognition culture within the store.
- Plan and organize store operations 30 days in advance with the guidance of the Assistant Store Manager, ensuring effective approaches and alignment on workforce needs for daily tasks, projects, and events.
- Strategically utilize team members to meet brand standards, ensuring daily execution of programs and processes while prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Maintain company merchandising and presentation standards by adhering to established floor sets, signage requirements, and inventory presentation guidelines.
- Assist the store leadership team with general supervision in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Facilitate training for teammates on company protocols and programs, including onboarding new hires and cross-training existing staff.
Leadership and Culture:
- Lead by example, helping teammates understand how their roles contribute to the organization’s vision and goals, while delivering an exceptional shopping experience.
- Foster an inclusive environment where all individuals, both teammates and customers, feel welcomed, safe, and respected.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to established safety, loss prevention, and operational procedures, taking a collaborative approach to support the team across the store.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Strong decision-making abilities and effective team-building skills.
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Prior retail or customer-focused experience is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting items repetitively and working at heights greater than 4 feet.
Compensation:
- Starting pay may vary based on factors such as location, experience, and position offered, with the actual hourly rate meeting or exceeding the required minimum wage.
