Job Summary

This position is part of the Protein Business Unit located in Madison, Wisconsin and will be hybrid and/or fully remote. At Aldevron, we combine best-in-class products and services with the ideal operating environment to lay the groundwork for vital, new discoveries worldwide. You will be a part of the Client Relations Gene Editing team and report to the Senior Manager of Client Relations – Gene Editing, responsible for serving as a client-facing Subject Matter Expert on Aldevron's catalog protein products and associated services.

Responsibilities

  • Support sales opportunities through generation of standard product and services budgetary estimates and quotes at request of clients or Account Managers.
  • Creation of internal project documents that communicate project scope and client expectations.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Aldevron's target clientele, capture the Voice of Customer, and propose strategies to increase sales.
  • Work with Account Managers or independently on client re-engagement post order.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in scientific field required (e.g., molecular biology, biology, biochemistry, microbiology, biotechnology). Advanced degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of scientific industry experience, preferably with a biologics CDMO.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Protein expression and purification in a non-teaching, lab environment.
  • Applying knowledge of protein structure to interpret scientific results.
  • Experience working in a laboratory with a Quality Management System (QMS; e.g. ISO13485 or a GMP-compliant QMS).
