Position Summary

A progressive research firm in Washington, DC is seeking a Client Relations Manager to enhance our sales team. The Client Relations Manager will play a crucial role in sustaining our inbound sales pipeline, acting as the primary contact for clients and guiding them through our sales process. They will utilize sales materials and our expertise to assist clients in investing in research aligned with their objectives and desired impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of sales materials and maintain the HubSpot CRM, including templates, sequences, playbooks, and other features to effectively manage sales pipelines.
  • Implement the sales process while adhering to sales policies and administrative SOPs; document challenges and propose enhancements.
  • Oversee prospects as they progress through our sales funnel and referral pipelines.
  • Craft compelling pitches and research proposals in collaboration with the research team for design and pricing, including responding to RFPs.
  • Utilize the company's unique value propositions in our research, data, and services to attract prospects.
  • Negotiate and finalize deals while managing risks and maximizing value for both the company and the client.
  • Strategically package research offerings, upsell, and utilize discount programs to enhance client value.
  • Coordinate with Research Operations to ensure proper alignment of research managers with prospects.
  • Facilitate client intake and onboarding to ensure a smooth transition to the research team.
  • Engage clients throughout research projects to foster satisfaction and loyalty, as evidenced by repeat business and long-term accounts.
  • Collaborate with marketing, communications, and research teams to identify research opportunities that can advance our research and data portfolio.
Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of professional experience in sales, including prospecting, pitching, and closing.
  • Experience in public opinion research, market research, political campaigns, or social advocacy sales.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and HubSpot.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
  • Familiarity with Slack and Asana.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Annual salary range: $65,000 - $75,000
  • Commission: $75,000 OTE
