Job title: Laboratory Technician I

Contract on W2 for a duration of 12+ months

Onsite from DR 15146

Pay budget - $20 - $22/hr on W2

Description:

  • Under direct supervision, may perform a variety of routine laboratory operations.
  • Full training on operating small reactors or kilo lab equipment.
  • The individual should be comfortable around chemical compounds and able/willing to handle these according to standard operating procedures.
  • Able to set up and turn off laboratory equipment safely.
  • Good record keeping for processes may be needed.
  • This is an entry-level position but some experience and knowledge in the handling of chemicals or performing chemical reactions in laboratory settings are a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensures that safety procedures, required PPE and housekeeping are maintained.
  • Conducts work in a manner that protects themselves, co-workers, and the environment. Follow established work procedures and operating procedures
  • Safely operate reactors and complete batch assignments inside designated timeframe Qualifications
  • High School graduate/equivalent or associate degree, with a demonstrated technical and/or mechanical aptitude.
  • Flexible to work shifts on Saturday due to operations running 24/7/365.
  • Communicates between shifts as needed.
  • Demonstrates advanced laboratory and critical-thinking skills.
  • Collaborates with team members and has excellent interpersonal skills.
