Summary:

Assist the Food Services Director in all aspects of food service operations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:


High school graduate or general education degree (GED) and at least 2 years of field experience in the food service industry or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience in negotiations and sales is essential. Relevant course work in business administration, accounting and communications.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence using concise and accurate documentation. Ability to write procedures and training manuals. Ability to communicate accurately in all levels of the information flow. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Experience in the following software:

MS Excel, MS Word, and company computer based program, PDI.

REASONING ABILITY:


Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Valid Montana State Driver License
  • ServSafe certification

OTHER:

  • Knowledge of the Food Service Industry.
  • Knowledge of sales techniques.
  • Skill and knowledge in negotiating.
  • Knowledge of convenience store field operations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the media, vendors, and coworkers.
  • Knowledge of restaurant and food service operations.
  • Knowledge of restaurant and food service safety regulations and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Train C-Store Deli Program, make revisions to program as necessary.
  • Operate and train C-Store Food Operations program, to include food service managers.
  • Train and oversee food, including produce inventory, and the casino/bar menu.
  • Oversee purchasing of food service paper supplies.
  • Travel to and operate in field locations (50%+ travel).
  • Understand and train all aspects of food safety.
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES
:

  • Conduct contract negotiations on equipment sales and purchases.
