Nurse Manager

Next Move Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Manager to lead our Surgical Services unit. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for the 24-hour coordination and supervision of daily operations, ensuring that service delivery meets the highest standards of quality and patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Operational Leadership: Manage daily operations of the unit, including budget and productivity target development, to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
- Staff Development and Management: Provide leadership and promote employee satisfaction through staff development and progressive discipline when necessary, to foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Strategic Planning: Lead strategic planning, service development, and resource utilization in collaboration with organizational goals, to drive business growth and improvement.
- Quality and Performance Improvement: Ensure adherence to quality standards and participate in performance improvement initiatives, to maintain and enhance the quality of patient care.
- Patient and Family Engagement: Act as a liaison between patients, families, physicians, and the care team, addressing concerns and problem-solving as needed, to ensure exceptional patient experience.
- Staff Supervision and Education: Supervise staff in adherence to standards of care and provide education as needed, to ensure that staff are equipped to provide high-quality patient care.
- Outcome Evaluation and Improvement: Evaluate patient outcomes and make necessary adjustments to care plans to optimize outcomes, to drive continuous improvement and excellence in patient care.
- Experience: Five years of clinical nursing experience in Surgical Services, with one year of perioperative charge nurse experience.
- Education and Training: Bachelors degree in nursing or related field, with a strong foundation in leadership, management, and clinical practice.
- Certifications and Licenses: Current California Registered Nurse licensure, with current CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications (PALS within 6 months of hire).
- Recent Management Experience: Recent experience in a leadership or management role, with a proven track record of success in driving business growth and improvement.
- Certifications and Specialized Knowledge: CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room) or other specialty certification related to Surgical Services, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements, quality improvement processes, and financial management.
