Position Title: Director of Sales

Location: Hampton Inn & Suites & Holiday Inn Express & Suites

Reports To: General Manager / Regional Director of Sales

Job Summary: The Director of Sales is responsible for leading the sales efforts for both the Hampton Inn & Suites and Holiday Inn Express & Suites. This role involves developing and implementing strategic sales plans, managing the sales team, and ensuring the achievement of revenue targets. The Director of Sales will work closely with the General Manager and other key stakeholders to maximize the occupancy and profitability of both properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Strategy Development:
  2. Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies for both hotels.
  3. Identify new business opportunities and market segments.
  4. Create annual sales and marketing plans with specific goals and objectives.

  5. Revenue Management:
  6. Collaborate with the revenue management team to develop pricing strategies.
  7. Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and guest feedback to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  8. Ensure optimal revenue management practices to maximize room occupancy and revenue.

  9. Team Leadership:
  10. Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to achieve sales targets.
  11. Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of the sales team.
  12. Set performance goals and conduct regular performance reviews.

  13. Client Relationship Management:
  14. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, travel agents, corporate accounts, and other stakeholders.
  15. Represent the hotels at industry events, trade shows, and networking events.
  16. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing client needs and resolving issues promptly.

  17. Marketing and Promotion:
  18. Coordinate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns.
  19. Oversee online and offline marketing efforts, including social media, email marketing, and website content.
  20. Track the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and adjust strategies as needed.

  21. Reporting and Analysis:
  22. Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for the General Manager and Regional Director of Sales.
  23. Analyze sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  24. Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to enhance sales performance.

  25. Collaboration:
  26. Work closely with the front office, housekeeping, and other departments to ensure seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences.
  27. Collaborate with the revenue management and marketing teams to align sales efforts with overall business goals.

    Qualifications:
  28. Proven experience as a Director of Sales or in a similar sales leadership role within the hospitality industry.
  29. Strong understanding of hotel operations, revenue management, and marketing principles.
  30. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  31. Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve sales targets.
  32. Proficiency in using sales and CRM software.
  33. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  34. Flexibility to travel and work weekends or evenings as needed.
