Job Overview

Objective: The primary aim of this role is to deliver exceptional sales support while enhancing and advocating for the sales of supplier brands to various accounts through proficient account management, effective sales execution, and clear communication, all while ensuring outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a high level of self-motivation and results-driven focus, capable of prioritizing tasks, managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously, and maintaining attention to detail.
  • Exhibit strong sales and negotiation capabilities.
  • Possess proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Be willing and able to work flexible hours, including extended shifts.
  • Showcase excellent customer service abilities and thrive in a collaborative team setting.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Understand and interpret invoices, load sheets, job orders, and installation/setup instructions.
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Handle products weighing up to 165 lbs and assist in hanging merchandise.
  • Climb ladders as necessary.
  • Engage in repetitive lifting (up to 50 lbs overhead), bending, stooping, kneeling, crawling, and twisting.
  • Push and pull loads up to 340 pounds using a two-wheeler.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Maintain regular communication frequency with assigned retail accounts, focusing on volume sales, distribution enhancement, merchandising, and price/shelf space management.
  • Develop and nurture business relationships while delivering professional sales presentations based on sales data.
  • Ensure compliance with product freshness standards in assigned retail accounts through diligent monitoring and rotation of stock.
  • Keep the mobility system updated and accurate.
  • Facilitate the introduction of new placements.
  • Utilize point-of-sale materials for effective merchandising.
  • Expand shelf space and introduce new brands and packaging.
  • Collaborate with the Accounts Receivable department to address credit issues, including the collection of overdue balances.
  • Make daily decisions regarding retail inventory levels, taking into account past sales data, market conditions, competitive activities, and promotional events.
  • Participate in sales and team meetings as directed by management, engaging in daily discussions with managers about sales-related matters.
  • Engage in evening and weekend promotional activities as required.
  • Perform any additional tasks as assigned by the District Manager, Sales Manager, or Sales Director.

Experience and Educational Background: Candidates must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. A minimum of one year of experience in sales or merchandising within the beverage industry or grocery retail is preferred.

Work Environment: The role involves moderate physical exertion, exposure to varying weather conditions, and potential exposure to vehicle-related fumes and noise.
