Job Overview

Objective: The primary aim of this role is to assist in sales operations while enhancing and advocating for the promotion of supplier brands through effective account management, sales execution, and communication, all while ensuring outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a high level of self-motivation and results-driven focus, with the capability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Exhibit strong sales and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including extended shifts as necessary.
  • Possess excellent customer service skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret invoices, load sheets, job orders, and installation instructions.
  • Competence in performing basic mathematical calculations.
  • Capability to lift products weighing up to 165 lbs and hang merchandise as required.
  • Ability to safely climb ladders.
  • Physical capability for repetitive lifting (up to 50 lbs overhead), bending, stooping, kneeling, crawling, and twisting.
  • Ability to push and pull loads up to 340 pounds using a two-wheeler.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Responsible for maintaining regular communication with assigned retail accounts to drive sales volume, enhance distribution, manage merchandise, and oversee pricing and shelf space.
  • Develop and nurture business relationships while delivering professional sales presentations based on sales data.
  • Ensure compliance with product freshness standards in assigned retail locations by monitoring and rotating stock.
  • Maintain an updated mobility system for efficient operations.
  • Facilitate the introduction of new product placements.
  • Utilize point-of-sale materials for effective merchandising.
  • Expand shelf space and introduce new brands and packaging options.
  • Collaborate with the Accounts Receivable department to address credit-related issues, including the collection of overdue balances.
  • Make daily decisions regarding retail inventory levels based on historical sales data, market conditions, competitive activities, and promotional events.
  • Participate in sales and team meetings as directed by management, engaging in daily discussions with managers regarding sales matters.
  • Contribute to evening and weekend promotional events as required.
  • Perform any additional tasks as assigned by the District Manager, Sales Manager, or Sales Director.

Experience and Education Requirements: Candidates must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. A minimum of one year of experience in sales or merchandising within the beverage industry or grocery retail is preferred.

Working Conditions: This position involves moderate physical exertion, exposure to varying weather conditions, and potential exposure to vehicle-related fumes and noise.
