Summary

The People Services Assistant supports the administrative tasks of the People Services department to include Payroll, HR and Training. Deliver exceptional customer service experience to our associates.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists with processing of regular bi-weekly payroll by entering payroll data and auditing timecards prior to closing the pay period. Follows instructions to process and audit payroll before finalization of the payroll. Functions as a backup for final processing.
  • Assists in responding to associates' questions about payroll and timecard related issues
  • Maintains back end of timekeeping system ensuring managers' access to employee timecards
  • Uploads bi-weekly 401k and benefits deductions into payroll and conducts audits for accuracy
  • Responds to unemployment claims, processes employment verifications and completes required government reports
  • Maintains and updates confidential employee digital records
  • Monitors HR and Payroll inboxes. Forwards emails to relevant People Service team members to answer the inquiries.
  • Administrative support for organizational programs commemorating events in our associates' lives
  • Pulls reports monthly for the newsletter and CEO
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • 1 – 3 years of payroll experience
  • Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent; Advanced degree preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Experience with an HRIS system; UKG (formerly UlitiPro) preferred
  • Mulit-State payroll experience is a plus
  • Financial Record keeping is a plus

  • Demonstrates a helpful, willing and professional attitude towards assisting associates and working with leaders
  • Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy of work and production of reports
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations
  • Strong organizational and time management skill

Range: $ $27.00 per hour

Fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges. Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to experience levels, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
