Job Description

If you have experience working with Nielsen Data as a Consumer Insights Manager in CPG we are interested in hearing from you. The Manager - CPG Business Insights - Nielsen Data, based in Minneapolis, MN is responsible to partner with cross-functional teams to convert insights into winning solutions for LSI; by leveraging Retailer & Shopper data resources they create compelling insights that influence LSI business and marketing plans. As the business insights thought leader, this position collaborates heavily with Brand Management, Category Management, Trade Marketing, Sales, Shopper Marketing, and plays a critical role in driving a fact based culture that turns insights to action .

The duties and responsibilities of this position shall consist of, but not be limited to, the following:

Leverage custom research, syndicated data, assortment analytics, consumer segmentations and consumer decision trees to proactively identify LSI Growth OpportunitiesIntegrate insights and data from multiple sources into a cohesive story to drive sales and support internal LSI strategiesBe an expert of syndicated POS, retailer shopper card, household panel, and other industry research Deliver best-in-class reporting against KPI s to assist sales and cross-functional partners: POS & shopper performance dashboards, composite rankings, and performance of new items across categoriesIdentify knowledge gaps and develop shopper behavior insightsResponsible for training & driving use of the various POS and shopper data resources within LSI
Qualifications

Required Education: Bachelor s Degree or equivalent experience

Required Experience:

3+ years CPG industry experience in Grocery and C-Store experience 2+ years experience working with syndicated POS data (Nielsen, Circana, Household Panel data, or Shopper Card Data )Knowledge of statistics and quantitative business analysesExperience using consumer insights tools including Loyalty data, Mintel, Kantar, BASES, and other 3rd party research Preferred: MBA a plusBroad experience in retail, category, brand, consumer, or shopper insights within CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) industryExperience working with sales and/or customer development including channel development, merchandising and trade relationsDevelopment and application of advanced analytics and principles in price and package strategy, shopper insights, omni-channel measurement, or category managementUnderstanding of key elements of brand marketing and new product research (advertising, consumer promotion, shopper marketing, public relations, packaging, consumer relationship management, and new product development)Experience managing projects: market research, consumer research, or performance managementExperience with database managementProcess improvement experience: Agile, Lean, Six Sigma etc. REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIESIn-depth knowledge and skilled in the use of syndicated data supplier tools such as Nielsen, Circana, Spectra, Shopper Card Data, and Household Panel Data.Ability to adapt, support, and guide organization through times of changeAbility to clearly communicate innovative business solutions, orally and in writing, to Leadership and internal teamsEffective organization skillsStrong proficiency in MS Office with focus on Excel and PowerPointAbility to travel up to 10-20% of any given month
