T5 Data Centers is a leading provider of tailored data center solutions to enterprise and hyperscale clients globally. We are seeking a highly skilled Access Control Security Specialist to join our team and contribute to maintaining a secure environment for our customers and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • **Monitor and Maintain Access Control Systems**: Ensure the integrity and security of our data centers by monitoring and maintaining access control systems, including surveillance equipment and access points.
  • **Report and Escalate Incidents**: Handle reporting and assist with escalations for significant issues affecting business operations or site disruptions, ensuring prompt escalation of emergencies, fire hazards, and safety issues.
  • **Enforce Policies and Procedures**: Enforce adherence to established policies and procedures, making informed decisions considering company policies and business practices.
  • **Property Monitoring and Access Control**: Responsible for property monitoring and access control, including overseeing traffic control and parking regulation enforcement.
  • **Customer Service and Relations**: Promote positive public relations through courteous customer service and prompt responses to inquiries, ensuring excellent customer service skills and ability to build trust-based relationships.
  • **System Management and Maintenance**: Monitor and manage the building's safety and access control systems, assess faults in monitoring systems, and prioritize accordingly.
  • **Documentation and Reporting**: Document observations, incidents, and surveillance activities, collect witness statements, and obtain necessary signatures, ensuring organizational compliance with legal requirements.
  • **Team Collaboration and Support**: Work collaboratively with the security team to ensure a secure environment, provide necessary escort services for guests, visitors, and contractors, and offer insights to enhance departmental procedures for improved efficiency and service standards.
Requirements
  • **Education and Experience**: High School Diploma / GED, minimum of 18 years of age, at least 3 years of prior customer service experience with a consistent work history demonstrating the ability to handle pressure and proactively manage unexpected situations.
  • **Skills and Qualifications**: Preferably three or more years in access control, security, military, or law enforcement roles, experience in data center operations or telecommunications, technical understanding of data center components, and a quick grasp of technical information and procedures.
  • **Physical Requirements**: Must be able to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, grasp, push, pull, handle, feel, type, smell, talk, and hear as needed for the job, possess proper vision for close and distance ranges, color distinction, and prolonged work at a computer station.
Additional Information
  • **Knowledge and Understanding**: Knowledge and understanding of basic access control systems operations, familiarity with laws, regulations, and codes pertinent to access control duties.
  • **Problem-Solving and Adaptability**: Strong problem-solving skills with limited information, adaptability to changing circumstances and new procedures, and ability to interpret various forms of instructions.
  • **Communication and Teamwork**: Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with keen attention to detail, capable of working independently with moderate supervision, and effective in responding to sensitive issues, inquiries, or complaints.
