Position Overview

The Senior Business Insights Analyst plays a crucial role in evaluating information technology (IT) needs within business operations. This involves gathering requirements, identifying solutions, assessing risks, and collaborating effectively with IT teams. Leveraging extensive experience and expertise, the analyst undertakes a variety of tasks to drive business success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct stakeholder analysis to pinpoint affected groups and clarify their requirements.
  • Create detailed plans and accurate timelines for requirements completion, consistently enhancing the precision of estimates.
  • Identify and manage risks, assumptions, and constraints related to requirements, ensuring clear communication with relevant stakeholders.
  • Establish the business analysis framework, outlining tasks and deliverables in line with project methodologies.
  • Facilitate prioritization of requirements, employing techniques to align with business objectives.
  • Lead collaborative sessions with diverse stakeholder groups to uncover, analyze, and review requirements.
  • Utilize advanced elicitation methods to engage various stakeholder types effectively.
  • Document and analyze the scope of business solutions using standardized requirements methodologies.
  • Assess user needs to develop systems solutions that align with business strategies.
  • Draft system specifications that guide the development and implementation of systems.
  • Extract data from primary and secondary sources, reorganizing it into accessible formats.

Systems Analysis and Documentation

  • Evaluate user needs to formulate systems solutions that support strategic objectives.
  • Define project scope and objectives clearly.
  • Comprehend system configurations thoroughly.
  • Document system requirements meticulously.

Systems Maintenance and Support

  • Generate system specifications that inform system development and implementation.
  • Oversee the maintenance and upgrading of existing systems as necessary.
  • Design innovative computer systems and frameworks.
  • Troubleshoot technical challenges effectively.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts, Project Leads, and IT teams to resolve issues and ensure viable solutions.

Data Analysis and Maintenance

  • Design and maintain data systems and databases, addressing coding errors and data-related issues.
  • Extract and reorganize data from various sources for clarity and usability.
  • Employ statistical tools to analyze data sets, focusing on trends and patterns that may inform diagnostic and predictive analytics.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in Agile Methodology, Business Data Analysis, Business Process Modeling, Commercial Acumen, Communication, Critical Thinking, Decision Making, Group Problem Solving, and Interpersonal Relationship Management.
