Job Overview:

This role is responsible for the issuance and placement of new insurance business. The primary goal of our post issue team is to see that all Life and Disability insurance applications, once approved, are issued from the insurance carrier in a timely manner, in good order, and forwarded to the financial advisor for placement. Once the financial advisor returns the deliverables to the post issue operations specialist, they are to review for completeness, forward to the insurance carrier and confirm placement.

Responsibilities:

  • Once application is approved, follow up with the insurance carrier to confirm policy is being issued. Once policy is received at LPL, physically or electronically, the operations specialist is to review the policy to confirm good order. If not in good order, the specialist works with the insurance carrier to reissue the policy. Once policy is received, and in good order, it is forward to the advisor for delivery. Follow up with advisor to confirm receipt of the policy, and return of the delivery requirements. Once delivery requirements are received, operations specialist is to review them to confirm completion, and forward to insurance carrier. If delivery requirements are not complete, operations specialist to inform the financial advisor, and work with them to bring requirements to good order. Once all deliverables are in, they are forwarded to the insurance carrier for placement. Follow up with insurance carrier to confirm receipt of delivery requirements and placement of the contract. Confirm placement with the advisor.
  • Build and foster strong working relationship with senior underwriters of the general agency approved carriers and office staff.
  • Interact with both internal/external customers
  • Daily contact with Advisors, Sales Directors/Business Development Officers and insurance carriers.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma

Preferences:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Insurance licensing
  • MS Office experience
  • Proficiency with new business tracking software and imaging systems (e.g. Agency Works, Paperclip, Exam One)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong follow through and sense of urgency, strong relationship building skills and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to change quickly
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Pay Range:

$20.63-$34.38/hourActual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
