Job Overview
Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is experiencing significant growth and is seeking an Environmental Project Management Associate to enhance our Environmental Practice. This role involves overseeing a diverse range of projects across various sectors including real estate, mining, energy, manufacturing, and public services. The successful candidate will play a key role in client relationship management, project execution, and mentoring junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and execute environmental projects in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while identifying new business opportunities.
- Oversee environmental due diligence projects, including Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments.
- Lead brownfield redevelopment and remediation initiatives.
- Supervise underground storage tank removal and assessment projects.
- Prepare investigation and remediation work plans, corrective action plans, and final reports.
- Ensure compliance with environmental permitting and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Utilize electronic data management systems for project documentation and reporting.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Geology or a related field.
- 5 to 10+ years of experience in managing environmental projects.
- Strong leadership, team-building, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, particularly in negotiations with regulatory agencies.
- Experience in client management and business development, particularly in the Southeastern United States.
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations pertaining to air, water, and wastewater.
- Familiarity with human health risk assessments is a plus.
