Job Summary:
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the planning and leadership of complex and highly cross-functional projects, including NPD and Operational projects, according to best practices of project management body of knowledge. Activities include requirements definition, preparation of project schedules, resource plans/allocations, risk analysis, and meeting facilitation.

Responsibilities:

Serves as role model for Helmer values by maintaining positive internal/external relationships; embracing and valuing diversity in all forms; promoting individual growth and development; actively promoting Continuous Improvement culture; and demonstrating a commitment to excellence in the achievement of company goals/objectives.Comply with workplace safety and quality procedures Lead complex and highly cross-functional projects in a Project Manager role according to best practices of project management body of knowledge (utilizing waterfall and agile methodology) in the development of project charters, requirement identification, project deliverables development and project schedules. Develop and manage project governance including sponsor meetings, project team meetings, status reports, etc.Ensure effective communication regarding key project objectives, schedules, and risk with internal and external stakeholders, including leadership and steering teams. Lead product development projects (internal and with key business partners) through the stages of planning to product launch and Life-Cycle Management. Manage the relationship and lead communication with external partners and internal stakeholders Monitor potential implementation project risks, opportunities, and issues that may impact the projectManage multiple projects simultaneously – some of which will span across multiple business areasLead Change Management activities for applicable projects. Support the ongoing development, improvement, and alignment of the LSS NPD Stage Gate ProcessExecute training and provide ongoing support, coaching and mentoring to project managers.Qualifications:

Minimum 7 years work experience leading project teams and related work experience in a manufacturing environme Bachelor of Science in Engineering or other related business or technical degree. PMP Preferred but not required. Knowledge of lean methodologies preferred but not requiredChange Management preferred but not requiredMicrosoft Excel, Word proficiency requiredMicrosoft Project experience preferred but not requiredERP experiencePreferred Knowledge of FDA regulations and/or ISO 13485 or similar ISO 9000 series training preferred but not required. Project Management training Key Competencies:

Ability to work both independently and in partnership with others.Strong organization and project management skills.
