Position Description:

The Associate Application Administrator will back local end-users and if needed, will offer services to other locations within the region - remote and on-site. They will set up, configure, manage, and support local PC hardware (incl. accessories) and applications in a mainly Microsoft Windows environment. The individual will assist with local instrument software setups as well as enterprise application management. They will ensure consistent service levels through SLAs and efficient IT support for site operations.

Key Duties:
  • Deliver end-user assistance (1st/2nd level)
  • Enhance end-user satisfaction
  • Identify and aid in (process) enhancement opportunities (utilize Office 365)
  • Safeguard data & system security and data privacy
  • Support IT projects and deployments
  • Collaborate in global IT teams and on specific IT topics (regional EU, international)
  • Keep IT management informed on progress at supported site(s)
  • Escalate issues as needed
  • Offer agreed IT services for one or more site(s)
  • Address service requests to meet SLA, deadlines, and other priorities to fulfill customer requirements
  • Engage in quality improvement methods to address common user requests / problems
  • Assist in any infrastructure modifications to enhance performance, reduce costs, or boost functionality
  • Participate in site compliance with IT directives, policies, and initiatives
  • Assist local business leaders in coordinating business and IT support activities
  • Maintain IT inventory (Hardware, Software Licenses) and validation status
  • Manage IT-related documentation
  • Install and uphold instrument software on-site
  • Back enterprise-level applications on-site
Minimum Criteria/Qualifications:
  • AD in Computer Science, System Engineering, or equivalent
  • Sound understanding of Windows OS and PC/Server hardware
  • Competence and experience with Microsoft Office 365 product range; ability to demonstrate Office 365 features & capabilities
  • Capability to support with remote tools, antivirus & backup software, hardware imaging, etc.
  • Continuous learning approach to stay current with broad IT knowledge
  • Customer-centric approach
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
Essential Hiring Requirements:
  • Background in system administration, service desk (MCSA, MCITP preferred)
  • Outstanding English language skills (both verbal & written)
  • Driver's License
Education and Work History:
  • High / Secondary school diploma or equivalent, and relevant formal academic / vocational certification
  • Technical roles may necessitate a certificate
  • Prior experience that offers the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the role (equivalent to at least 2 years) or similar combination of education, training, & experience.
