Amentum is seeking a Maximo Administrator for our Operations and Maintenance Team.

Under limited supervision by a Lead Systems Administrator / Operations Manager or other unit manager, installs, configures, and troubleshoots computer systems and associated assemblies and provides technical assistance and training to system users. Provides day to day system oversight and maintenance of multiple Maximo instances on the commercial contracts.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the administration and optimization of the Maximo application, including system configurations, customizations, and enhancements
  • Handle the coordination of deployment, maintenance, upgrades, and patches of the system to ensure scalability, stability, and security
  • Work closely with team members to capture and define system requirements, develop solutions, and align system capabilities with organizational objectives
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to resolve complex system issues, performance bottlenecks, and integration challenges
  • Design and implement standard processes for system usage, data governance, reporting, and analytics
  • Develop new reports and make changes to existing reports using BIRT or Ad Hoc Reporting tool within Maximo.
  • Act as liaison to Support Services Analytics Team on all Maximo related Power BI reports / dashboards.
  • Administer and train the workforce on mobile device implementation.
  • Act as a liaison with Amentum's Maximo hosting company
  • Collaborate with key business units to evaluate, plan, and implement system improvements and new functionalities
  • Stay abreast of emerging Maximo industry trends, technologies, and standard methodologies to drive innovation and efficiency
  • Reviews problem reports, assists with root cause analysis, and implements configuration and process changes.
  • Provides technical support to systems upgrades and configuration changes.
  • Assists in implementing software and firmware/hardware updates. Leads complex troubleshooting efforts.
  • Maintains knowledge of operations procedures and supporting documentation, and leads their development.
  • Ensures technical support is available for system administrators and maintainers in execution of administration and maintenance tasks.
  • Uses IT service management system and ensures Information Assurance requirements are met.
  • Provides Client System Administrator (CSA) duties for specific mission systems that require specialized support.
  • Supports client Maximo instances and system administration duties.
  • Supports Amentum system to client system interfaces and data transfers as required.
  • Executes training and mentoring programs and practices.
  • Performs other related duties and tasks as required.
  • Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Min Quals

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, finance, business, or applicable field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Maximo experience and 1 year of Maximo administrative related experience.
  • SQL language knowledge preferred. Java, JSON, Python are not required but is a plus.
  • Possess 5 years' general computer related experience.
  • Possess demonstrated skills, knowledge, and technical competence in the management of operating systems, networks, and relational databases, both hardware and software.
  • This must include network topology, standards, and protocols.
  • Must be experienced in the creation and maintenance of servers and workstations in both stand-alone and networked environments.
  • Must possess a good understanding of network software (TCP/IP, etc.) as well as relational database software.
  • Must have intermediate level knowledge of Unix, Windows, Windows Server administration.
  • Must display a thorough awareness of security concerns for both operating systems and databases.
