Essential Functions These are the job duties required of the position.Essential Functions
  • Maintains and follows Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) accreditation standards to support CME mission statement and assures accreditation documentation is of high quality in compliance with all standards, guidelines, and policies, under director supervision.
  • Maintains daily database and activity files.
  • Prepares and distributes CME reports and evaluation results.
  • Provides administrative assistance for CME activities (conferences, workshops, grand rounds, online and enduring materials).
  • Maintains the calendar events (grand rounds) on Office of CME website.
  • Tracks and analyzes CME program by examining attendees evaluation results.
  • Assists with the design of computer/web-based educational programs.
  • Monitors the activities of CME coordinators from other departments.
  • Contributes to the effectiveness of overall CME program by assuring that all work is performed efficiently and professionally.
  • Follows up and monitors weekly grand rounds.
  • Tracks and maintains physicians and participants hours for category 1 credit.
  • Enters medical staff education credit into appropriate database and provide various reports to medical staff as needed.
  • Maintains all regulatory and departmental records, minutes, and activity files in strict compliance with ACCME guidelines.
  • Prepares CME committee, minutes of the meetings, and all follow-up memos, letters, etc.
  • Recognizes specific credit types that are appropriate for each talk and aware as necessary.
  • Ensures all flyers and brochures are accompanied with required verbiage from any and all twelve licensing boards that may be deemed appropriate for the specific talk.
  • Reviews evaluation results for practice gaps and bias as well as MOC quiz results for compliance.
  • Submits MOC credit for all physicians into JA Pars as appropriate.
  • Reviews slides of all presentations to ensure compliance with criteria, Standards for Integrity and Independence, and valid content to ensure that no brand name, logos, nor product messages are included within presentation slides and reviews with speaker and CME Committee member.
  • Completes Mitigation Form and submits to CME Committee and Speaker ensuring that all changes are completed by speaker prior to presentation.
  • Oversees input of all physician credit into JA PARS as required by licensing bodies.
  • Reviews grand rounds in person for compliance of all criteria and Standards for Integrity and Independence.
  • Coordinates the development and implementation of USA's Office of Continuing Medical Education's (OCME) educational activities, including in-person and virtual conferences, case studies, videos, podcasts, and other formats.
  • Assists in planning and executing USA's OCME's major conferences, in collaboration with the Assistant Director and Director.
  • Coordinates USA Office of CME's social media presence and develops a calendar and content for platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Creates and schedules member emails, adhering to graphic design best practices and using USA's OCME's email platform.
  • Provides customer service, including answering phones, responding to member inquires on phone and online, and troubleshooting issues with USA's OCME's learning and association management systems.
  • Prepares CME credit reports for submission to relevant agencies.
  • Enters and edits data in USA's OCME's learning and associate management systems.
  • Ensures compliance with accreditation, copyright, and accessibility standards.
  • Regular and prompt attendance.
  • Ability to work schedule as defined and additional hours as required.
  • Related duties as required.
