Key Responsibilities:
The Human Resources Coordinator undertakes administrative tasks for the HR department, which include:
- Scheduling appointments and maintaining organized files.
- Responding to inquiries, both written and verbal, from applicants and employees.
- Addressing frequently asked questions regarding standard policies, benefits, and the hiring process, while directing complex inquiries to senior HR personnel.
- Assisting with record maintenance and onboarding processes for new hires.
- Providing clerical support to all HR staff and managing day-to-day HR operations.
- Exhibiting professional customer service and conflict resolution skills in interactions with prospective, current, and former employees.
- Supporting internal and external HR inquiries, including problem-solving, complaints, and communication coordination.
- Maintaining digital records of employee information, including badge photos and I-9 documentation.
- Overseeing the accuracy of compensation and payroll documentation for new employees.
- Assisting employees with general benefits inquiries and directing complex requests to the appropriate benefits team member.
- Utilizing the Banner system to ensure proper distribution of benefits forms.
- Supporting performance management processes, including documentation and data entry.
- Coordinating with recruitment agencies and managing scheduling for new employee orientations.
- Preparing for weekly new employee orientations and ensuring all necessary documentation is collected.
- Generating reports on HR activities and dashboards as required.
- Completing termination paperwork and assisting with exit interviews.
- Staying updated on the latest HR trends and best practices.
- Reviewing employee information in the Banner system for accuracy.
- Inspecting Accident/Incident Reports for correctness and forwarding to the appropriate vendor.
- Flexibility to work across multiple HR offices as needed.
- Willingness to work assigned schedules, including overtime when necessary.
- Performing other duties as assigned and participating in committees as needed.
- Engaging in Performance Improvement activities through quality measurement.
Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with five years of experience in a Human Resources assistant, staff assistant, secretary, or related administrative role. A bachelor's degree may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
