Job Description

The University of Nevada, Reno, is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional for the position of Director of Business Operations & Food Services. This role involves comprehensive oversight and management of various functions, including budgeting, central office operations, human resources, and food services. The ideal candidate must have proven experience in budgeting, operations management, and human resources, strong leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple functions simultaneously.

The key responsibilities of this role are:
  • Oversee and manage budgeting processes, including current management and future projections of revenue and expenses.
  • Supervise departmental central office operations and human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, training, development, and personnel accountability.
  • Handle assignments related to marketing, outreach, summer conferences, student accounts, and both accounts payable and receivable.
  • Manage residence hall front desk operations and implement and oversee information systems.
  • Oversee the University's preferred dining services.
  • Work closely with the year-round administration of University residential and food services, as well as summer and conference housing.
  • Ensure that all operations are efficiently managed and comply with Departmental, University, and NSHE policies and procedures.
  • Translate organizational goals into strategic and operational plans.
  • Available for full-time office hours, with flexibility to attend evening and weekend special events as needed.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and five (5) years of related professional work experience OR

Master's Degree and three (3) years of related professional work experience

Related Experience: In housing and/or food service administration or related experience.

Grants-in-aid for Faculty Employees
