Job Description

The University of Nevada, Reno Foundation Board of Trustees is accepting applications for a Manager, Board of Trustees Operations. The Foundation Board of Trustees staff is responsible for facilitating and managing the overall operations and business of the Foundation's Board.

Manager B1, Board of Trustees Operations:

The Manager, Board of Trustees Operations nurtures and cultivates support for the University by involving trustees and emeriti trustees in University programs and projects. This position reports to the Vice President for Advancement, who also serves as Executive Director of the Foundation. The Manager, Board of Trustees Operations (MBO) manages the implementation of Board activities including preparation for open meetings of the full Foundation Board, research and writing associated with agenda papers and policies, stewardship of gifts, and managing the budget. In addition, this position works closely with the Vice President for Advancement and the University's fundraising staff to accomplish the University's fundraising goals.

Manager B2, Board of Trustees Operations:

Required Qualifications

Manager B1

Bachelor's Degree and two (2) years of related work experience OR

Master's Degree and one (1) year of related work experience

Related Experience: Professional experience working in the areas of educational non-profit management, event management, public relations or higher education or related experience.

Manager B2

Bachelor's Degree and three (3) years of related professional work experience OR Master's Degree and two (2) years of related professional work experience

Related Experience: Professional experience working in the areas of educational non-profit management, event management, public relations or higher education or related experience. Ability to make a solicitation on a one-on-one basis.

Candidates will be hired at the level that is comparable to their experience, knowledge, skills and abilities.

Grants-in-aid for Faculty Employees

The University is proud to provide a reduced-rate tuition benefit to faculty and qualified dependents. Faculty can take up to six credits per semester at a reduced rate.
