Job Description

The Director of Hardware Planning & Inventory Strategy will be responsible to lead a team who produces short term, medium term, and long term plans for network hardware, DC materials, cabling, and low voltage labor needs. This role will also own the NW hardware inventory strategy and strategic partnership decisions with low voltage contractors. A successful leader in this role will develop strong partnerships with the Supply Chain organization, Capacity Management and Networking leadership to align hardware plans with DC project execution plans, new product introduction, end of life products, and available supply. This role will report to the Sr Director of Infrastructure Growth Management within the OCI Infrastructure Capacity organization, and will be responsible for:

Responsibilities

  • Producing 6,12,and 18 month demand plans for: Network hardware, cabling, optics, DC materials, and low voltage vendor labor
  • Negotiate contracts with low voltage vendors to ensure optimized commercials and SLA performance
  • Maintain cadence with all stakeholders to ensure planning accuracy
  • Ensure long term plan and inventory strategy is integrated with long term hardware roadmap
  • Automating and improving the hardware planning process and methodology
  • Lead team of 3-4 strategic planners

Qualifications

  • 7-10 years in cloud/hyperscale networking or data center capacity planning
  • 7-10 years experience leading high functioning teams
  • Ability to communicate information to senior leadership in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to manage internal and external stakeholders to tight deadlines and often shifting priorities
  • Ability to work cross functionally with sourcing, Supply Chain, Delivery, Network Capacity, Networking and Connectivity teams, and gain buy in to achieve a common goal

US: Hiring Range: from $139,300 to $291,900 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
