Job Description

The People Analytics Data Engineer - Lead Consultant is responsible for the design and development of data infrastructure and engineering projects for human capital data for People Analytics and the enterprise. This role will develop, construct and maintain large, complex data through design, collection, integration, processing and transformation of large datasets from HR, Finance and other data sources. This person will support leaders, data scientists and analysts on their data needs to drive strategic reporting, advanced analytics and workforce planning activities.Key Responsibilities:
  • Designs, architects, analyze, develops and implements key data and support of architecture and warehousing approaches.
  • Build and execute ETL processes from multiple, disparate data sources such as flat files, web services/APIs, databases, etc.
  • Create technical documents to document data/system contents, concepts, and mapping between data assets and systems.
  • Lead and support the data solutions in the creation of insightful reports and analyses.
  • Independently monitor and consults on existing metrics, analyze data, and partner with other data teams to identify and implement system and process improvements.
  • As a team expert, provide direction to peers or AOR partners on technical solutions. Understand the changing analytic needs of users and assists in the development of goals, and tracks of work to meet those needs.
  • Partner on new ideas and initiatives, and executes rapid development of new data and analytic projects
  • Contributes to the innovation of solution development including the consultation on right-sizing decisions, software solutions, and services.
  • Continual improvement of data platforms and pipelines.
  • Actively shares knowledge and experiences with the team, serving as an expert in data engineering and applying best practices.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job does not have supervisory duties.

Education and Experience:
  • 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)
  • 5 or more years of experience (Preferred)
  • In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
  • No Certification, License or Registration is required for the job.
Functional Skills:
  • Advanced database development experience and knowledge with ability to learn new data storage technologies
  • Advanced analytic, data sourcing, and data management skills
  • Proven experience in building relationships and collaborating with various levels of management across a broad-spectrum including HR, Technology, and the business
  • Advanced data management, quality assurance and data stewardship
  • Advanced ability to translate complex technical challenges to both technical and non-technical audiences including a full range of technical and system architectures (SaaS, Security, Hardware)
  • Ability to think strategically and can demonstrate an understanding of the underlying complexities within data strategy
  • Experience with engineering best practices to include analyzing, designing, developing, and deploying and supporting software solutions and/or infrastructure implementations/upgrades.
  • Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.
  • Full end-to-end experience in data warehousing, including data modeling, loading, transformation, scripting and process auditing.
  • Proven experience demonstrating strong analytical, logical, problem solving and creative skills

Compensation offered for this role is $85, ,650 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
