The Equipment Engineering division oversees the comprehensive management of equipment lifecycles, including design, updates, and general support. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our capital expenditure processes are efficiently managed.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Administer production systems and equipment utilizing both networked and standalone control systems.
  • Monitor, maintain, and repair existing control and monitoring systems, including programmable logic controllers and various software control systems.
  • Support the validation and qualification processes for computerized systems.
  • Draft, review, and approve change controls related to automated systems to ensure compliance with validation standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure seamless automated operations of equipment.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing automation maturity and reducing manual interactions in production processes.
  • Participate in investigations related to automated system failures and contribute to corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain system administrative and operational procedures to ensure consistent implementation and training.
  • Contribute to the site’s digital transformation roadmap, focusing on integration, data management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Complete assigned tasks with minimal oversight, ensuring adherence to project timelines.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related scientific field with a minimum of 3 years of experience in automation engineering within a regulated environment, or a Master’s degree with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Experience in leading cross-departmental projects is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving methodologies and continuous improvement practices is preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across various instrumentation and data systems.
  • Ability to innovate and drive process enhancements.
  • Experience in writing and reviewing Standard Operating Procedures is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform tasks involving sitting, standing, and walking, as well as the use of computer systems.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds may be required.
  • Must adhere to environmental health and safety responsibilities.
