Overview

The Equipment Engineering division is responsible for managing the lifecycle of equipment, which includes design oversight, updates, and comprehensive support through troubleshooting and training. This team also manages the capital expenditure (CapEx) process.

The Automation Engineering team oversees all computer systems, networks, and automation related to both direct and indirect manufacturing processes, as well as laboratory and facility systems. Engineers in this department engage in a diverse range of projects, fostering continuous learning and collaboration across disciplines.

Position Details:
  • Manage production skids and equipment using both networked and standalone control systems.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of existing control and monitoring systems, including programmable logic controllers and various software control systems.
  • Support the validation and qualification processes for computerized systems.
  • Draft, review, and approve change controls for computerized systems to ensure compliance and system integrity.
  • Collaborate with process and facility engineers to ensure automated operation of equipment.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing automation to minimize manual interactions and improve production consistency.
  • Participate in investigations related to automated system failures and assist in corrective actions.
  • Develop system administration and operational procedures to ensure effective management and training.
  • Contribute to the digital transformation roadmap, focusing on integration, data management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision, adhering to project timelines.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Candidate Profile:
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Computer Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities operation or automation engineering in a regulated environment.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field with at least 1 year of experience in a similar setting is also acceptable.
  • Experience leading cross-departmental improvement projects is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with problem-solving methodologies and continuous improvement practices is preferred.
  • Proficient in the operation and troubleshooting of various instrumentation and data systems.
  • Ability to innovate and drive process enhancements collaboratively.
  • Experience in writing and reviewing Standard Operating Procedures is a plus.
