VP of Business Development
Our client is seeking an experienced Vice President of Business Development to lead and expand our growth initiatives within the AEC industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in identifying, securing, and managing client relationships, particularly in the Hospitality & Gaming sector.
This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in securing large-scale projects, navigating complex owner relationships, and driving business expansion efforts. This is a senior leadership position that collaborates closely with internal stakeholders to achieve company objectives.

Focus:
- Lead business development efforts by identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities within the construction sector, with a focus on Hospitality & Gaming projects.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, owners, architects, and developers, to foster long-term partnerships.
- Oversee the end-to-end process of proposal development, negotiations, and project acquisition, ensuring alignment with company objectives and profitability targets.
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans to expand market presence and enhance brand recognition.
- Stay current on industry trends, owner funding procedures, and implementation processes to ensure competitive positioning in the marketplace.
- Work closely with project teams to ensure smooth transition from business development to project execution.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to identify growth opportunities, set targets, and forecast revenue potential.
Skill Set:
- Minimum of 10 years of business development experience within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry.
- Proven experience in securing and managing projects within the Hospitality & Gaming sectors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Strong knowledge of owners' project funding mechanisms, contract negotiation, and implementation procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and aligned with client expectations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including project managers, estimators, and technical staff.
- Experience leading teams and mentoring junior business development staff.
