This position will be primarily responsible for interfacing with customers, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of quotes and sales orders and all supporting activities related to sales. Equally as important is ensuring that all customers have an exceptional customer service experience.   This role is also responsible for building, maintaining and supporting the customer base at the sales counter. This would include the preparation of quotes, invoices, special orders, purchase orders, manufactured product quotes and coordinate deliveries. This is a fast-paced but rewarding work environment.


Job Duties and responsibilities

·        Collect information on incoming requests for quotes and sales orders in an accurate and timely manner;

·        Provide administrative support to the Sales department;

·        Answer incoming phone calls

·        Ensuring customer files are organized;

·        Ensuring all customers have exceptional customer service.

  • Coordinate with the warehouse for processing of customer requests and sales
  • Preparing quotes, typically using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)
  • Data entry
  • Managing files
  • Performing multifaceted general office support
  • Sending and receiving forms for the company
  • All day-to-day operation matters
  • Complete all customer documents in a comprehensive, timely, and organized manner



Qualifications and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Minimum 1 – 2 years of administrative sales experience in a manufacturing setting preferred;
  • Knowledge of structural metals in carbon, stainless and aluminum a plus
  • Quick and accurate data entry skills a must.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Remain in contact with customers, providing top-notch service;
  • Ability to overcome and handle concerns
  • Team player – ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • Ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions
  • Follow through – lives up to verbal and written commitments/Highly capable multi-tasker.
  • Track record of providing high levels of customer service.
  • Works well under pressure.
  • Strong organizational skills;
  • Able to interact with a diverse work group
  • Understanding of Point-of-Sale software (QuickBooks is a plus)
  • Strong knowledge of steel, unit of measure conversion factors, product applications.
  • Must be highly skilled in customer service and communication both internal and external customers.
