We are looking for an experienced, motivated, entrepreneurial Sales Account Executive. This role is a “hunter” role and is responsible for all sales activities from lead generation through close. Strong skills and experience in Services, Software sales and Account Management are required. Additional sales engineering experience is a strong consideration.


Responsibilities:


  • Create and manage sales business plans
  • Responsible for independently managing sales pipeline
  • Effectively prospect, qualify, develop and close new business opportunities
  • Attend in person networking and conference events
  • Demonstrates effective sales strategy to manage sales cycle across prospects and service offerings, with ability to close deals within target timeline
  • Demonstrates ability to prospect and develop new leads within both prospect and existing accounts.
  • Ability to meticulously maintain up to date customer relationship management (CRM) information.
  • Ability to manage existing accounts and identify and manage new services sales opportunities
  • Demonstrates the ability to independently drive business conversations with business influencers and decision makers. You must be able to comfortably have C-suite and executive conversations.
  • Identify opportunities to up-sell and cross-sell services to expand account focused services landscape
  • Sells consultatively with the ability to assimilate customer needs and identify recommended services the company offers to solve customer business issues
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with external partners to drive co-selling opportunities in assigned accounts and existing customers
  • Mentoring junior staff to provide support, growth, and guidance
  • Travel may exceed 50%


Qualifications:


  • Must have 5+ years of dedicated experience as a Software, Solution Sales, or Account Executive
  • Must have bachelor's degree in related field
  • Demonstrated goal attainment track record over plan year
  • Experience selling Microsoft Software or Services, or similar Enterprise Software Solutions
  • Sales knowledge of Microsoft Solutions (Microsoft365, Azure and/or Defender, Intune, and Co-pilot.)
  • Experienced leveraging CRM Software for daily account management activities
  • Critical thinker and independent problem-solver who can work on their own
  • Experience with the Salesforce application

Job Details:

Location: National Capital Region, Hybrid

Base Salary: $75,000 + generous commission package


Salary at DTS is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. In addition, to support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, DTS typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
