Job Details:
- Title: Benefits Generalist
- Type: Contract
- Length: Indefinite
- Location: Hybrid in Pittsburgh, PA
- Pay Rate: $25-28/hr, depending on experience
- Background Check: Yes
Candidate profile and qualifications
- Experience in – 2-3 years of benefits administration experience, ideally from unionized manufacturing settings
- Familiarity with FMLA, COBRA, ACA
- Proficient in – Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS (Paycom or ADP)
- Soft Skills – analytical, strong attention to detail, organized, reliable
- Education – Preferred, not required
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day support and guidance to employees on eligibility and other benefit-related matters within acceptable timeframes.
- Process and reconcile benefit carrier payments monthly.
- Conduct onboarding sessions with new hires to explain benefits offerings and enrollment.
- Manage leaves and ensure compliance with COBRA, FMLA, ADAA, ACA, and other applicable laws.
- Provide or request data analytics related to benefits.
- Maintain benefit information in HRIS.
