Element6's client is looking for a Strategic Sales Manager to join their team based in Rockford, IL.


Responsibilities:

  • Works to learn about the company product portfolio and how to leverage insights with customers.
  • Works with assigned company Distributors to grow sales, partner on key customer opportunities and support engagement with the Factory.
  • Fosters new business development opportunities alongside Distributor partners.
  • Evaluates Distributor audit details and drill down on Distributor development initiatives.
  • Monitors internal development of activities related to new sales and equipment programs.
  • Seeks out partnerships with product companies to have new and trending products always running in equipment.
  • Investigates marketing trends/concepts and assists with the development of programs with key product suppliers and national customers.
  • Supplies sales and marketing with operator information and maintains frequent communication with New Product Development, Engineering and Service Department.
  • Stays up to date with factory insights on supply chain and production status to effectively communicate to assigned Distributors


Required Education: Bachelor's degree in a related industry.


Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years managing large National customers (in the foodservice category is favorable).
  • Knowledge and working experience in the foodservice industry is required.
  • Strategic account management experience is required.
  • Detail-oriented in communication as well as presentation when it comes to presenting products to customers.
  • Well-developed written and speaking skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills are required.
  • Self-starter with strong interpersonal, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Can think on their feet and can develop lasting professional relationships with customers.
  • Generally flexible and can adapt to difficult situations and changing expectations.
  • Resourceful and able to work on multiple projects at a time.
  • Proven ability to lead and possesses strong critical thinking ability.
  • Able to develop sales and marketing strategies for incremental sales growth among existing distributors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint required.
  • Comfortable communicating cross functionally and does not stand down when met with adversity.


Travel: ~50%

  • Visiting distributor territory, trade shows, plus some nights and weekends will be required.
