The Vice President (VP) of construction will take the responsibility for strategic management of all construction activities related to new development, redevelopment and capital projects.


This individual will manage and drive a team of third party construction management professionals ensuring construction portfolio delivery, and proper staffing to manage forecasted development activity, provide cost and budget information for the projects, manage the technical side of the entitlement process as well as optimize designs and contractor bidding. Responsible for managing internal and external stakeholders through the construction process and implementation of development best practices.


The position requires a high degree of energy, enthusiasm, an outgoing personality, technical competence, and professionalism.


Core Responsibilities

  • Lead internal and external teams achieve the company deployment goals and objectives.
  • Develop budgets, define risks, and track costs, for land, infrastructure, and building construction.
  • Develop, tender and manage a variety of sizes of projects ranging
  • Deep knowledge and experience on the Pre-development phase- supporting Due Diligence, Permitting, Budgeting and Scheduling. Accountable to lead all the Pre-Development phases.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Architecture, Urban Planning or Engineering is desired. Graduate degree a plus.
  • 10+ years of related experience in commercial real estate construction and development. (retail, office, industrial, multifamily). Experience with restaurant hospitality construction development required.
  • Experience supporting a project from acquisition through due diligence, entitlements, and permitting.
  • Additional experience on design/build projects is preferred but not required.
  • Embrace the small office environment and assist others to achieve deadlines.
