The Vice President of Operations will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and will oversee the daily operations of the hospital, focusing on revenue enhancement, cost management, and achieving financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operations of all hospital departments, excluding Nursing.
  • Facilitate the preparation of budgets and hospital policy development.
  • Represent the hospital in various professional, civic, and governmental forums.
  • Collaborate with physicians to enhance recruitment and retention efforts.
  • Work alongside the CEO to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and quality accreditations.
  • Foster an environment conducive to attracting and retaining qualified staff.
  • Analyze and implement performance improvement initiatives across the organization.
  • Assist in the development of new services that generate profitable revenue streams.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities in collaboration with financial and nursing leadership.
  • Participate in operational reviews and corporate meetings as necessary.

This position requires a strong educational background, including a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field, and a Master's degree in Healthcare Administration or an MBA with a healthcare focus.

Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4 years of recent experience in hospital management across multiple departments in an acute care setting.
  • Experience in physician relations and recruitment is essential.

Essential Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proven capacity to build and maintain effective relationships with physicians, staff, and the community.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Knowledge of human resource management, labor relations, and hospital economics.
