Key Responsibilities:

  • Assists the Accounting Controller with day to day, monthly, and year end operations of the Accounting/Finance Department
  • Perform general accounts analysis and reconciliations, including bank statements, fixed assets, employer's benefit costs, accruals, and prepaid expenses
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and budget performance
  • Prepares consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from department.
  • Analyses information and options by developing spreadsheet reports, verifying information.
  • Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files, reconciling accounts.
  • Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
  • Supports accounts payable activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoice creation and entry.
  • Regularly maintains detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts.
  • Prepares documentation for external auditors.
  • Daily reconciliation of cash flows and verification of bank balances.
  • Performs monthly bank settlements.
  • Maintenance of Project Costing
  • Performs all other duties as required, requested, or needed.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree; accounting or finance a plus
-3+ years of experience managing transactional accounting

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment working with inventory
  • Experience with journal entries, monthly and year end close
  • Must be proficient in Excel
