Preschool Support Educator

The Child Development Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the Lead Educators and the Administration by fostering a nurturing and secure atmosphere for young learners. This position involves collaborating effectively within a team to enhance the overall educational experience. The Assistant is responsible for observing and documenting children's interests and progress, ensuring that this information is communicated to both parents and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in executing educational activities and promote active participation among children.
- Engage proactively in classroom activities while ensuring the cleanliness and organization of materials.
- Maintain regular communication with parents through informal discussions and progress updates.
- Encourage self-sufficiency and hygiene practices through positive role modeling.
- Facilitate smooth transitions for children from home to the educational setting.
- Adhere to all organizational policies and state regulations.
- Commit to a personal professional development plan for ongoing quality enhancement.
Qualifications
- High energy and enthusiasm.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with basic computer proficiency.
- Solid understanding of child development principles.
- Exceptional leadership, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.
- Certification in Infant/Child CPR and First Aid.
- Successful completion of a comprehensive background check.
- Passing a health screening is required.
