Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day- to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements including balance sheets income statements and cash flow statements
  • Conduct regular reconciliations of bank account credit cards and other financial accounts
  • Lead the bookkeeping efforts maintaining accurate records of financial transactions and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations
  • Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company's assets and mitigate financial risk
  • Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insight and support decision-making processes
  • Manage the annual budgeting process that provides a variance analysis to monitor performance against targets
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals during audit and tax filing
  • Mentoring and coaching accounting staff providing guidance and support to foster their professional growth.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting finance or related field
  • 5 to 10 years of progressive experience in accounting with a focus on bookkeeping balance sheet management and financial reporting
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with board members and Team heads
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness
  • Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
