HR Consulting Firm is hiring a JR HR Generalist - Entry Level

Do you have several years of HR experience (at least 3+) and want to further develop your knowledge in HR? Our offices are located in Norcross. This position will assist interface with our client's teams and involve on boarding new employees, recruiting, maintaining employee files, handling workers compensation, OSHA logs, assisting with benefits administration, and more. Need someone who enjoys a fast paced and varied day. Each day there will be new HR issues that will need attention. This position works as part of a team to support clients around the metro area. Must have strong PC skills, word, PowerPoint and excel. Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills along with strong project management skills and follow through. Must have a college degree in HR, Psychology or equivalent. Must have reliable transportation as this position may require traveling to client's location.

Job Responsibilities

  • Be a positive and upbeat HR interface and resource to our clients and our team.
  • Assist with set up of new clients in our system. Provide training and assistance to clients and their employees how to access system.
  • Load client information into system, work with payroll team and benefit team, in new client set up.
  • Review the completion of all new hire paperwork, including I-9 paperwork, benefits paperwork, workers compensation, and follow up until appropriate documentation is provided.
  • Onboard new hires of clients within our system. Completing I-9 and other required information.
  • Conduct training (typically zoom) for managers and CEO's
  • Process e-verify for all new hires for clients and internal.
  • Assemble new hire paperwork for clients, sending out as requested by clients and upload all new hire paperwork for new clients onto the payroll/HRIS system. Includes uploading logos, all new hire packets/forms, customizing welcome emails to new hires, etc.
  • Create and maintain client electronic files in our data base.
  • Assists with HR audits on site at client's location, including preparing the write up of results.
  • Conduct orientation of new employees for clients - can be at client locations, zoom, face time, etc.
  • Develop, research, edit and revise employee handbooks.
  • Assist in the research, development and implementation of new policies and procedures for office and clients.
  • Conduct recruitment effort for clients. This includes writing ads, placing ads, screening applicants and interviewing.
  • Assist in employee's resolution with problems concerning HR, payroll and benefit issues.
  • Participate in staff meetings and attend other meetings as needed.
  • Participate in sales calls.
  • Conduct demos of our system to prospects.
  • Assist with general office duties, including but not limited to answering phones, routing calls, taking messages
  • Conduct investigations into employee complaints at client sites
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills Required:

  • Exposure to HR principles and practices, minimum of 3+.
  • Superior written and verbal communications skills with the ability to foster and promote open exchange of ideas and knowledge.
  • Analytical: Possess solid decision making, organizational and time management skills are critical.
  • Interpersonal: Build rapport at all levels of organization and with vendors and other external agents and contacts. Interacts well with others, showing respect for workload and viewpoints.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management/Administration or related business field.
  • Minimum 3+ years of Human Resources experience in similar role or equivalent combination of additional education and experience.
