Cleveland Clinic is seeking a Vice President Advanced Practice Provider (VP APP) to serve as the primary Advanced Practice Provider (APP) executive responsible for the leadership of all APPs throughout our domestic markets.

The VP APP will report to the Enterprise Chief of Staff with a matrixed reporting to the Executive Chief Nursing Officer.

The VP APP will collaborate with Institute Chiefs and Department Chairs to develop the vision and goals for the APPs of the enterprise Institutes in collaboration with health care team leadership.

Through relationship building and diplomacy, the VP APP will inspire and influence others to achieve results, ensuring a consistent patient experience and adherence to standards of care across all service lines within the enterprise.

Additionally, the VP APP will be responsible for strategy, patient care, research, quality, education, and leading a team of APP leaders.

Supports end-to-end clinical enterprise institute strategic priorities for APPs in collaboration with health care team leaders. Sets and coordinates enterprise APP institute standards. Provides clinical direction and oversight in a highly matrixed organization while ensuring inclusivity.

Supports targets and goals for APPs in collaboration with healthcare team leaders related to institute growth, patients served and clinical operations.

Responsible for integration of enterprise institute strategy into the overall Cleveland Clinic strategic plan as it relates to APPs. Responsible for enterprise Institute APP operational performance regarding patients served and cost management through collaboration with healthcare team leaders.
Supports value-based care and population health principles in support of the organization's goals. Aligns quality, safety, and patient experience standards for APPs within enterprise Institutes and Markets.

Creates a vision and provides leadership and support to all APPs in their pursuit of excellence in patient care, education, and research.

Represents the needs of the Advanced Practice Provider community to the Enterprise Chief of Staff. Creates an environment that encourages and supports professional development for APPs.
Leads people in a complex environment, setting meaningful goals and ensuring accountability in achievement. Selects top talent and builds leadership succession through development and coaching. Optimizes caregiver experience to retain engaged patient-focused workforce. Responsible for employment and compensation practices relating to Advanced Practice Providers.
Oversees credentialing and privileging of APPs, ensuring it complies with all regulatory requirements. Responsible for the policies and procedures relating to APPs.
Responsible for assuring that Advanced Practice Providers are held to the highest standards. In partnership with the Office of Professional Staff Affairs, and Human Resources, addresses issues regarding competence, quality, and behavior.
Other duties as assigned.

Education:
Master's of Science in Nursing or Master's in Physician Assistant Studies and/or or higher degree obtained from a program recognized by the State Medical Board of Ohio
