The Vice President of Quality and Compliance plays a crucial role in upholding the highest standards of quality and compliance across our manufacturing operations. They will lead initiatives to ensure products meet regulatory standards and customer expectations, driving ongoing enhancement in processes and products.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) to unify quality assurance, quality control, and compliance processes.
- Ensure compliance with national and international regulations such as FDA, EPA, and ISO.
- Lead the Quality and Compliance department, setting objectives, budgets, and staffing aligned with organizational goals.
- Cultivate a culture of quality and continuous improvement by adopting best practices and innovative technologies.
- Manage audits, internal and external, to maintain regulatory compliance and identify process enhancement opportunities.
- Collaborate with R&D, production, and supply chain teams to embed quality and compliance in product development and manufacturing.
- Maintain relationships with regulatory bodies and industry associations to stay informed about changes in legislation and standards.
- Address quality or compliance issues promptly, including product recalls, regulatory actions, and customer complaints.
- Provide strategic guidance on quality and compliance matters to the executive team.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards in personal care products.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills to inspire teams towards excellence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with all stakeholders.
- Strategic thinking to balance compliance with business objectives.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Education and Experience:- Bachelor's degree in a related field, Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in quality assurance/compliance roles, with 5 years in senior leadership.
- Experience in managing a QMS in a manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements:- Prolonged periods of sitting and computer work.
- Ability to move within the organization's facilities.
