St. Catherine University seeks a seasoned leader to serve as Senior Vice President of Institutional Advancement. This key role will oversee all internal and external relationships that help advance the university, including fundraising initiatives, grant writing, alumni relations, internal and external communication functions, university events, and the O'Shaughnessy Performing Arts Center.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the advancement division, providing direction and leadership to maximize the talent, resources, and expertise of Board members
- Develop and implement comprehensive and capital campaigns, planning, executing, and overseeing large-scale fundraising efforts
- Build and develop a strong team, being directly involved in day-to-day operations
- Collaborate with the Board of Trustees, the President, her Cabinet, key faculty and staff, alumni, and corporate and foundation partners
- Master's degree and extensive experience managing comprehensive and capital campaigns
- Proven track record of philanthropic success, with a strong history of generous philanthropic support from alumni, friends, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, foundations, and corporations
- Enthusiasm for the mission and values of St. Catherine University
- Experience in and understanding of the philanthropy in the Twin Cities
- Ability to work in a university climate that promotes cultural diversity, multicultural understanding, and cultural fluency
- Three weeks of accrued vacation time, fourteen paid holidays, and paid "gift" days
- Accrued sick time, health, dental, and vision insurance, and 403b retirement plan access
- Free tuition for employees and reduced tuition for their families after one year of service
- Six weeks of paid parental leave after one year of service
