Position Overview

Carson is seeking a talented and competitive Regional Business Development Representative (Inside Sales) candidate that thrives in a quick sales cycle environment. The rep will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. You must be comfortable making dozens of calls per day, working within a vertical sales department, qualifying prospects, and closing sales. Focused territory is southwest Idaho and northeast Oregon markets. You will be responsible for the sale and support of Carson products and services, including but not limited to lubricants, fuels, cardlock services and diesel exhaust fluid. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner who has strong communication skills and an ability to generate new business. Key Responsibilities
  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up, outbound cold calls, and emails.
  • Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure.
  • Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest.
  • Maintain and expand your database of prospects within assigned territory.
  • Team with Regional Outside Sales Representative to build pipelines and close deals.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and goals.
Relationships and Roles
  • Identify prospects, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage sales cycle to close new business in all product lines.
  • Possess in-depth product knowledge and be able to conduct discoveries, handle objections, and close new business.
  • Demonstrate the ability to interact and cooperate in a vertical regional sales team.
  • Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all support departments.
  • Willingness to travel within region and work with team of professionals - approximately 0% - 25%.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or relevant certifications are advantageous.
  • Two or more years of proven experience in B2B outside sales.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-centric approach.
  • Proficiency in using office software; including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Positive attitude, proactive problem-solving skills, and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and order processing software is a plus.

Employer Notes
  • Full time in-office 8am-5pm
  • Competitive hourly rate plus commission.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

  • Majority of work conducted in office
  • Work can involve moving boxes and employee must lift, bend, stoop, pick up and move objects up to 25 lbs.
