**POSITION OVERVIEW**:
The Vice President of Operations is a senior leadership role with oversight of operations within a set geographic region. This role is responsible to plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee operations activities in the organization, ensuring development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of the organization.

**PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Establish and execute sound business strategies in conjunction with market General Managers/Operations Managers and leadership team that enable profitable growth.
- Create a structure that fosters focus and accountability so that company goals can be achieved.
- Establish and implement key metrics and key performance indicators (KPI).
- Play a significant role in providing the sales team with in-depth service knowledge and training that they need to grow the business successfully and profitably.
- Develop and recommend annual operating budget.
- Develop and manage a system of controls to ensure that service levels and operational performance goals are met within prescribed cost, revenue, and profit parameters.
- Plan, forecast, and manage staffing levels effectively.
- Analyze regions KPIs and P&Ls for performance gaps and opportunity areas.
- Ensure the development of lean systems and continuously improve procedures for operating and managing the line of service.
- Grow leaders, instill, and cultivate confidence, and inspire team to be passionate about the customer experience.
- Maintain a workplace environment that achieves Gold Star Foods’ goals for employee retention and satisfaction.

**REQUIRED SKILLS**:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
- Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving.

**EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE**:

- BA/BS degree in Business Management, Logistics, or other related Operations discipline.
- MSc/MA preferred
- 10-15 years of progressive management experience with an operations/logistics supply chain focus.
- 5+ years of experience in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment, with strong focus on meeting/exceeding measurable metrics.
- 3+ years of experience managing full P & L preferred.
