SummaryThe Regional HR Manager is a key role within the HR Global Operations team to continue to transform, provide business partnering support to the locations within the region, and deliver our priorities of standardization and optimization of HR processes, maximize engagement and employee experience.
The role is responsible for collaborative HR partnering with the Regional Plant Director and the management teams at the different manufacturing facilities within the region. Providing strategic and operational advice, coaching, HR expertise and counseling on key people decisions in support of the operations strategies. They will need to work closely with the HR Centers of Excellence (COE), and the HR Global Operations team to drive HR outcomes.
They will be accountable for the HR activities and calendar of events at the manufacturing facilities within the region. They will lead and develop the HR teams at each location to provide exceptional HR support to our leaders and employees. They are a change agent, challenging existing norms and looking for constant improvements in employee experience, HR processes, and culture.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, manage and execute the people plan for the region that ensures a positive employee experience, culture, ways of working and compliance. Drive HR process optimization and standardization across the region. This includes delivering HR activities and service delivery across the locations to both salaried and hourly employees within the region. Activities include, but not limited to engagement survey implementation and action planning, facilitating talent and succession, compensation awarding, performance and development, discipline, investigations, AAP etc.
- Partners and works with leaders, managers and other HR professionals to ensure the effective management of individual performance, and alignment with policies, work rules, and collective bargaining agreements where applicable. Provides direct coaching and counsel to managers, partnering with HR leader and in-house counsel when appropriate, to address application of policies and HR procedures, and performance issues that may include potential termination of employment. Lead Labor relations strategy and negotiations of collective bargaining agreements.
- Manage, coach, and develop direct reports across locations. Build HR capability of the team.
- Work with Regional Plant Director and Plant Directors to ensure we are effectively developing leaders at all levels of Operations and building succession bench strength.
- Be a positive and active leader on the HR Global Operations team. Help to develop and refresh strategy, bring in best practices, build our HR capability and brand.
- Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university
- 8+ years related experience and/or training
- Experience in Human Resources within a manufacturing setting is highly preferred
